26-8-1939 Fedor von Bock's Diary

Writer's picture: RuinaRuina

Background info of the day-

Fedi has been talking back and forth with Halder (at the time Army Chief of Staff) regarding the invasion of Poland. Von Kluge and Fedi are pretty stoked about the whole thing, while the rest of the army was very weary about what the British are gonna do.

When Anglo-Polish alliance agreement is signed, an order comes down banning any hostilities, leaving Von Kluge and Fedi crest-fallen-- especially Kluge, who is "besides himself" for some reason. Fedi maintains that the British are gonna do whatever they're gonna do so he doesn't give a shit.

Then immediately of nowhere, Fedi finds this incident funny-

I don't understand his sense of humor loool??
